Archer Platform Operations is looking for an experienced Senior Toolpusher to lead safe, efficient offshore drilling, workover, intervention, and plug and abandonment operations in the US Gulf of America. This is a key frontline leadership role for someone who can take ownership offshore, guide teams under pressure, and keep operations moving safely and professionally.

You'll work with drilling rigs, modular rigs, hydraulic work over units and providing clear direction to Archer personnel, subcontractors, and specialist service providers while maintaining strong communication with the Operations Supervisor, onshore support teams, and client representatives.

If you're a practical offshore leader with strong well operations experience, solid safety standards, and the ability to bring teams together to deliver, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on critical well operations.

In this role, you'll take responsibility for the safe and effective running of the offshore rig / units, ensuring well programs are understood and followed, equipment and materials are ready, handovers are clear, and operational and safety records are completed accurately and on time.

Your work will include:

  • Supervising modular rig and auxiliary equipment activities
  • Supporting well control, pressure control, and cementing operations
  • Coordinating rig-up, rig-down, relocation, equipment readiness, and offshore resources

Safety will be central to everything you do. You'll lead by example, promote strong housekeeping, support Permit-to-Work requirements, participate in drills, audits, inspections, and meetings, and make sure work is properly risk assessed before it begins.

You'll also help build team capability by mentoring Toolpushers, Drillers, and offshore personnel, assigning responsibilities clearly, and creating a professional working environment where people know what is expected and can perform at their best.

We're looking for someone with proven experience in an equivalent offshore supervisory role, ideally gained in drilling contractor operations, plug and abandonment, modular rigs, hydraulic workover units, or similar offshore environments.

You'll need the relevant offshore training and certifications for US mobilization, including:
  • OPITO T-HUET with CA-EBS

  • Offshore Medical / Fitness for Duty
  • TWIC

This is an offshore role requiring flexibility, strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments and changing operational conditions.

The position is based in the Lafayette area of Louisiana, United States, with offshore mobilization and travel as required.

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
