We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join us as a Senior Test Engineer to support all phases of ejection seats product development lifecycle including the bid, design, development, verification & validation. The selected candidate will be part of the Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Team and will work with the existing systems & test engineers to enhance current SEIT practices, processes, and tools. This role will work cross functionally with engineering, program management, operations, and other functional groups throughout all phases of projects. The preferred candidate will have experience with hardware development for military/DoD customers. This role level can potentially be adjusted depending on the selected candidate’s level of experience.
What You Will Do
- You will interpret test requirements, develop and maintain test procedures, identify test and document testpractices.
- You will be responsible for assuring tests are conducted in accordance with approved test plans and established safety procedures.
- You will work as a liaison between systems engineers & designer engineers, in the development and qualification testing of ACES ejection seat components and subsystems.
- You will ensure successful and accurate data collection, documentation and reporting of test results.
- You will collaborate with engineers on design, fabrication and modification of test fixtures and test articles in support of test programs and customer requirements.
- You will participate in peer reviews throughout the product lifecycle of design, development, integration and test, and flight test requirements verification.
- You will plan, prepare, conduct, collect and document testing results.Analyze data to drive issues to root cause.
- You will assist in researching and evaluating facility processes to reduce operating costs and improve on collection of test data.
- You will use agile tools (like Jira) to complete the planning and execution of assigned tasking for each sprint.
- You will support other engineering and project execution activities, as requested. Assist in department development by contributing to test engineering process development and cross team training.
- You will crosstrain to develop systems engineering knowledge to support SEIT tasking surges.
- You will be required to utilize strong interpersonal skills, high degree of comfort with ambiguity, good project discipline, excellent oral and written communication skills, high computer/technology proficiency, and the ability to work independently.
- You will interact with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities is routinely required.
- You may be required to travel up to 25% to execute product performance and hardware testing.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Test Engineer.
- Experience executing product testing on physical assets for performance and environmental testing.
- Strong analytical skills including knowledge of physics, dynamics and data reduction and preliminary analysis.
- Experience coordinating technical projects and work teams.
- Experience presenting technical subject matter to internal and external customers.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a test facility environment in combination with related education and training.
- Experience with aircraft cockpit, crew station, escape system, ejection seat and crew systems.
- Experience working on military/DoD programs.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
