As a Senior Tender Specialist, you'll be at the center of our commercial success, leading the development of complex proposals that help customers solve their toughest automation challenges. From software-defined automation and digital solutions to safety systems and control platforms, you'll bring together technical expertise, commercial strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver winning bids.
What will you do?- Lead strategic proposal development for complex automation opportunities.
- Build compliant and executable commercial and technical proposals.
- Assess customer requirements, project risks, schedules, and resource needs.
- Coordinate internal experts and external partners throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Develop proposal documentation, estimates, pricing inputs, and executive approvals.
- Support modernization, migration, upgrade, and greenfield projects.
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging AI-powered proposal tools and best practices.
- Facilitate effective proposal-to-project transitions after award.
What qualifications will make you successful?- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in engineering, industrial automation, or a related field.
- 8+ years of tendering, proposal management, or bid management experience in industrial automation or the electrical industry.
- Experience leading large, integrated project bids.
- Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, Safety Systems, and open automation technologies.
- Experience with CRM, estimating, and AI tools to support proposal preparation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and proposal governance.
- Ability to travel up to 10% nationally and regionally.
- For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required.
The expected pay range is CAD 114,750 - CAD 162,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
