What you'll do...
Role summary:
The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, managing preventive maintenance programs, and supervising field teams to optimize equipment performance. The position requires coordinating service calls, mentoring technicians, and supporting critical business operations through timely issue resolution. The Senior Technician also manages parts inventory, vendor relationships, and contributes to process improvements, supporting the organization's commitment to operational excellence and regulatory adherence.
What you'll do:
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
  • Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
  • Manage refrigerant handling, inventory, and vendor relationships in compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: 3 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
Option 2: 6 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years' Walmart store experience.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
