What you'll do...
Role summary:
The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, ensures the safety, functionality, and upkeep of facilities and equipment through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation and budget oversight. The Senior Technician also delivers hands-on training and supports continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to operational excellence and the sustained quality of Walmart's facilities and equipment.
What you'll do:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and repair catalogs.
  • Operate heavy machinery and power tools following safety protocols and certification requirements.
  • Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and guidance.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Respond to emergency calls and coordinate vehicle maintenance and transportation as needed.
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory, safety, and company standards.

What you'll bring:

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
