Job description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to support the development of innovative AI-powered Digital Pathology solutions within a fast-paced, highly collaborative healthcare environment. You will act as a key link between business, clinical, engineering, and data science teams, helping turn customer and product needs into solutions that advance digital pathology and cancer care.

In this role, you will drive the tactical execution of Digital Pathology algorithm products, working closely with Development Leads, Technical Leads, Project Leaders, and IPMs to identify priorities, define specifications, and provide clear requirements for AI teams developing algorithms for deployment on the Digital Pathology Platform.

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Work Mode: Hybrid

Occasional travel required (approximately 10-20%) for conferences and client visits

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate product strategy into detailed scientific requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering and data science teams
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for the product development team throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from definition to sunsetting of the product
  • Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a proven and well-rounded understanding of products and evolving needs
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the digital pathology market, our product portfolio, and the competitive landscape
  • Serve as a high-availability resource for answering day-to-day questions posed by engineers, data scientists, and designers about stories in the backlog
  • Author user stories, acceptance criteria, and product and software requirements documentation, ensuring story content and prioritization align with larger strategic goals
  • Support User Acceptance Testing activities by interacting with stakeholders
  • Prepare release notes and update business owners on features incorporated in each release


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Product Management within the healthcare service industry, OR analogous experience managing requirements for computer vision systems based on AI/ML
  • Proven track record with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Demonstrated Product Management skills - handling priorities, quality, conflict, and risk

Preferred:
  • Advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Sciences, Data Science, Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent
  • Proven understanding of the digital pathology space and associated technologies
  • Experience in regulated industries, specifically Medical Devices, Digital Health, or Life Sciences
  • Understanding of Health Canada and FDA regulations and guidelines


Expected Compensation Range:
85-95K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate's level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

Canadian Experience Requirement:
No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
