Your Impact- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership on acoustics, noise, and vibration.
- Act as a thought leader and primary technical authority across the business.
- Lead a specialized team and represent WSP in client engagements, regulatory discussions, and industry forums.
- Drive innovation and contribute to precedent-setting, visible, and strategic assignments.
- Guide, mentor, and influence employees at all levels-shaping career growth, project excellence, and technical quality.
- Anticipate business needs, secure resources, and champion change initiatives aligned with WSP's long-term vision.
- Make high-impact decisions on complex technical and organizational issues.
- Create and coordinate formal knowledge networks that elevate WSP's national acoustics practice.
- Deliver original, creative, and innovative approaches in ambiguous or emerging problem spaces.
The Skills That Set You Apart- Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's or PhD preferred in acoustics or related discipline.
- P.Eng. (Ontario) designation required.
- 20+ years of experience in acoustics, noise, and vibration, including 10+ years as a technical lead.
- Advanced expertise in environmental noise, building acoustics, and vibration analysis.
- Proficiency with modelling tools such as CadnaA, Odeon, EASE, TNM, and STAMSON.
- Strong knowledge of MECP guidelines and other regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership in key, high-visibility projects with excellence in execution and delivery.
- Strong business development ability with a track record of sustaining long-term client relationships.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and strategic mindset with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $147,500 - $195,400MB & ON: $134,600 - $184,600 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC : $133,200 - $176,900Disclosure:The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
