PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to support our Fort Belvoir, VA location.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor to support the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Office Directorate. This critical role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and assessing emerging technologies, concepts, and policies to ensure CPE Mission Autonomy remains at the forefront of the industry. The successful candidate will provide expert technical assessments and feasibility analyses to inform strategic initiatives, advising leadership on strategic technology risks and opportunities. By leveraging intelligence products and maintaining a constant situational awareness of the global technology landscape, the Senior Technical Advisor ensures a threat-informed technical alignment for the organization while representing it in key technical stakeholder forums to deliver decisive overmatch capabilities to the Warfighter.

 

Duties:

 

Leadership Advisory and Support

  • Serve as a Senior technical advisor to the CTO and organizational leadership on long-range technology strategy, innovation, and technical feasibility.
  • Keep organizational leaders informed on the global technology landscape, proactively highlighting opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and actionable pathways.
  • Assist in the formulation, review, and execution of the organization's overarching technology strategy and supporting documents (Mission, Vision, and Priorities).
  • Develop strategic engagement preparation packages, overarching themes, and communication materials to ensure leadership is well-prepared for key technical discussions and decisions.

Strategic and Mission Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of emerging technical concepts and evaluate their alignment with the organization's mission and autonomy goals.
  • Provide senior level experience while conducting technical assessments and feasibility analyses that inform the organization's strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
  • Monitor innovation projects, conduct research, and explore novel solutions to reduce technical risk and recommend effective pathways for transitioning capabilities.

Threat-Informed Technical Alignment

  • Consume and analyze intelligence products to gain a deep understanding of techno-geopolitical trends, adversary capabilities, and global technology supply chains.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure organizational efforts are directly aligned with the current and future threat landscape, ensuring the maintenance of Warfighter overmatch.
  • Translate intelligence and capability gaps into actionable technological strategies

Technology Landscape and Industry Engagement

  • Maintain constant situational awareness of the global technology landscape, including developments across industry, academia, and government Science and Technology (S&T) organizations.
  • Serve as a primary interface for the S&T community and industry partners, engaging with them to identify and assess disruptive and emerging technologies relevant to mission autonomy.
  • Provide senior experience on innovation policies, funding opportunities, and rapid acquisition pathways.

Stakeholder Representation and Collaboration

  • Represent the CTO Office and the broader organization in designated high-level strategic, technical, and stakeholder forums or decision-making bodies.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across government, industry, and academia to leverage expertise and capabilities.
  • Present complex technical and strategic information to senior military officials, stakeholders, and decision-makers in clear, concise, and actionable terms.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Champion a culture of continuous innovation, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and approaches to solve complex technical problems.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the speed, quality, and effectiveness of technology transition and capability delivery.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and evolving mission requirements to seamlessly incorporate relevant technological advancements into the organization's strategic roadmap.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an active U.S. government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in heavy science, Information Technology, Software Engineer

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or an MBA with a heavy technical focus
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Information technology environment with at least 5 years operating in technical advisory roles.
  • Deep familiarity with evaluating AI and machine learning
  • Masterful capability to translate complex technical blockers into business risk and ROI metrics for board members.
