Overview

The Senior Teammate Relations Partner serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, driving a proactive teammate relations strategy that fosters an inclusive, high-performing culture across a multi-site organization. This role partners closely with business leaders to identify organizational trends, mitigate risk, strengthen leadership capability, and address performance and engagement challenges before they escalate.

Using data-driven insights, consultation, and thoughtful coaching, the Senior Teammate Relations Partner helps leaders navigate complex teammate situations, improve organizational effectiveness, and build high-performing teams. This role combines deep employee relations expertise with business acumen, analytics, and strategic influence to create positive teammate experiences while ensuring consistent and compliant people practices.

What You'll Do

Strategic Consulting & Leadership Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted consultant to business leaders on teammate relations, organizational health, performance management, and workplace culture.
  • Partner with leaders to proactively identify organizational "hot spots" through analysis of teammate relations trends, engagement data, performance indicators, turnover, and other workforce metrics.
  • Develop actionable recommendations and intervention plans that improve team effectiveness, strengthen leadership capability, and reduce organizational risk.
  • Coach leaders through complex teammate situations, balancing business objectives with a positive teammate experience and legal compliance.
  • Influence leadership decisions through data, insights, and best practice recommendations.

Teammate Relations
  • Lead the resolution of complex teammate relations concerns, conducting timely, fair, and thorough investigations while ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
  • Serve as the escalation point for sensitive teammate matters requiring advanced judgment, discretion, and partnership with HR leadership and Legal.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, employment practices, and employment laws.
  • Identify patterns across teammate relations cases and recommend systemic solutions to improve organizational effectiveness.

Performance & Leadership Effectiveness
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen performance management practices through coaching, documentation support, difficult conversation preparation, and development planning.
  • Advise leaders on performance improvement strategies that promote accountability, timely intervention, and positive teammate outcomes.
  • Build manager capability through education, coaching, and consultation on effective people leadership practices.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on teammate impacts and leader readiness.

Data, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain teammate relations dashboards, executive reporting, and business narratives that translate data into actionable insights.
  • Analyze trends across investigations, performance actions, exits, turnover, engagement, absenteeism, and other workforce indicators to proactively identify organizational risks and opportunities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to Talent and business leadership to influence decision-making and prioritize action.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance teammate relations processes, leader experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Leverage data to measure outcomes and continuously improve teammate relations strategies.

Voice of the Teammate
  • Lead the organization's exit interview and feedback strategy, including survey administration, interviews, trend analysis, and executive reporting.
  • Synthesize teammate feedback from multiple sources to identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, and the overall teammate experience.
  • Partner with Talent Business Partners and business leaders to implement solutions that address recurring themes and organizational challenges.

What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant expertise in teammate or employee relations, HR consulting, or HR business partnership.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic advisor to business leaders on complex people issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating workforce data into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience building executive-level dashboards, reporting, and presentations that influence business decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, workplace investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to identify organizational trends, anticipate risks, and implement proactive solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • Exceptional consulting, coaching, and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility across all leadership levels.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with experience delivering leadership education and manager development.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
