Senior Tax Manager Siemens is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for its Digital Industries Software (DISW) business. This role focuses on leading complex partnership and corporate tax compliance and provision.
The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and flexible. One who can balance multiple projects using the digital tools of Siemens' technology landscape to produce accurate and timely results in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a Sr. Tax Manager, and this is a hybrid position located in either Plano, TX or Iselin, NJ. You'll make an impact by: As a key team member, you'll manage tax processes with precision and expertise within the Technology industry. Your responsibilities include:
- Tax Provision and financial reporting: Review quarterly/annual income tax provisions, including Provision-to-Return analyses. Collaborate with domestic and international tax teams to ensure accurate reporting of tax attributes, deferred taxes, and foreign tax matters.
- Partnership & Corporate Compliance: Lead the review of complex federal and state partnership returns (Forms 1120, 1065 and related schedules) to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws. Interpret and apply partnership tax rules under Subchapter K, including allocations of income, gain, loss, deduction, and credit.
- International Tax Expertise:
- Prepare and review international tax returns, such as Form 5471 and Form 8858.
- Support international tax calculations, including Foreign Tax Credit (FTC), Foreign-Derived Intangible Income (FDII), and Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (GILTI).
- M&A Integration Support: Assist in M&A integration activities, including integrating newly acquired IP into global structures and coordinating the tax implications of global legal entity integration projects
- Tax Modeling: Perform tax modeling related to legal entity and intellectual property integrations.
- Tax Memos: Research and prepare tax memos summarizing US tax positions.
- Team Leadership & Integration: Mentor staff and collaborate across business units to resolve tax-related operational issues using strong business acumen. Develop comprehensive tax integration project plans, including all tax workstreams and functional tasks, and manage integration steps to achieve project milestones.
- Collaboration & Communication: Engage with operating company personnel, third-party advisors, and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning, and controversy issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tax risks and planning opportunities that align with business objectives.
- Tax Law Change Response: Undertake projects to proactively respond to business and tax law changes, optimizing global value flows and reviewing the characterization of software sales, while assessing associated tax costs.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes and drive efficiencies through automation. Actively seek and identify potential tax planning opportunities for the organization.
- Business Acumen: Understand the organization's business operations and contribute to problem resolution when tax-related issues arise.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance is required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or a large multinational internal tax department, with at least 6 years focused on preparing and/or reviewing federal and state partnership and corporate income tax returns.
- 7+ years of technical and practical knowledge of corporate accounting for income taxes is essential.
- 7+ years of experience working in consultative-based positions, including international tax, transfer pricing, M&A, and general partnership & corporate tax.
- 7+ years of experience in technical and research skills, enabling navigation of complex tax regulations.
- Proficiency in key software, including Corptax, Microsoft Office tools, Adobe, Alteryx, SAP, and dashboard tools like Tableau.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Tax or Accounting, MBA, JD, or LLM in tax is preferred.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- The pay range for this position is $145,000-$170,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.

The pay range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
