Full Job Description
At Roblox, we are growing and looking for a Senior Talent Business Partner, Engineering (Senior Technical Recruiter) to help build, scale, and influence our recruiting landscape on a short-term basis, with a possibility of conversion to full-time. We are a fun and collaborative team focused on recruiting engineering talent. This person is a strong communicator, collaborator, and leads by example. Successful Builders embrace change and we encourage bringing in fresh ideas and a culture of feedback. As a Talent Business Partner you will directly impact the growth of the company and support our scaling efforts.

Role is based in our San Mateo, CA office 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday). No remote exceptions.

You Will:
  • Drive hiring for critical technical roles across Engineering, Data Science, and Product Management, driving full-cycle recruiting from sourcing to close.
  • Proactively source and engage top talent through Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, and other platforms.
  • Influence and improve processes to help the team work smarter, faster, and at scale.
  • Share talent market insights with hiring managers to guide decisions on leveling, compensation, and candidate profiles.
  • Mentor and coach hiring managers and interviewers, raising the bar on calibration, evaluation, and selection practices.
  • Champion a best-in-class candidate experience that reflects our values and culture at every stage of the process.
  • Ensure operational excellence with clean pipelines, accurate data, and strong ATS hygiene.
  • Use data and insights to diagnose bottlenecks, measure impact, and tell compelling stories to stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to hiring leaders, bringing recruiting analytics and competitive intelligence to shape organizational growth.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with depth in technical domains (Engineering, ML, etc).
  • Demonstrated success in hiring senior and niche technical talent in competitive markets
  • A strong track record of influencing stakeholders and solving complex recruiting challenges with creativity and innovation.
  • A data-driven approach with the ability to analyze metrics, surface insights, and inform strategy.
  • A startup mentality and open to thinking outside of the box


For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range

$159,260-$200,630 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
