Description

As the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead high-volume recruiting for lease-up communities and stabilized assets across our multifamily portfolio. This role is responsible for hiring sales-driven leasing professionals and onsite teams that directly impact occupancy, revenue growth, and the resident experience.

This individual will operate as a strategic partner to sales and operations leaders, supporting new developments through rapid team build-outs and proactive talent pipeline development. The ideal candidate understands the urgency and pace of lease-ups and can build strong talent pipelines in competitive markets.

This position will be full-time, in person 5 days a week, located in either the Vienna, VA office and will report directly to the SVP, People & Culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Lease-Up Recruiting Execution
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for lease-up communities, including regional sales roles, new home sales consultants, & leasing teams
  • Ensure timely staffing aligned with occupancy and revenue goals
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience while maintaining speed and efficiency in hiring

Sales Talent Acquisition
  • Identify and attract candidates with strong sales, closing, and customer conversion skills
  • Partner with hiring managers to prioritize sales aptitude over property management experience where appropriate
  • Develop innovative and targeted sourcing strategies for competitive labor markets

Pipeline & Market Strategy
  • Build and maintain active pipelines of leasing talent for upcoming developments
  • Track and manage recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, hiring velocity)
  • Stay informed on local market trends, competitor hiring, and compensation benchmarks

Stakeholder Partnership
  • Partner with Sales & Operations leaders to forecast hiring needs
  • Act as a strategic advisor on hiring timelines, talent availability, and workforce planning

Employer Branding & Events
  • Support hiring events, open houses, and community-based recruiting efforts
  • Enhance employer brand positioning for leasing and sales talent


Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:
  • 3-6+ years of recruiting experience in multifamily, real estate, retail, or sales environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong sourcing and interviewing skills, including experience with social media recruitment (Linkedin, Indeed, Glassdoor, industry boards, etc.)
  • Proven success in high-volume or growth-phase hiring
  • Strong understanding of sales profiles and performance indicators
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions across regions
  • Experience with ATS systems (UKG preferred) and AI recruiting tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data

Preferred Experience:
  • Lease-up or new development hiring
  • Recruiting for commission-based or sales-driven positions
