Job Description:- Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP IS-U applications and integrations that support key business processes.
- Analyze business requirements, evaluate solution options, and implement technical solutions that align with operational and strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain application interfaces, technical configurations, and custom SAP functionality.
- Support day-to-day application operations, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and break-fix activities.
- Participate in project initiatives by providing technical expertise, solution design recommendations, and development support.
- Create technical specifications, estimate development effort, and manage assigned work to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve system stability, functionality, and user experience.
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting within support systems.
- Research emerging technologies, tools, and SAP capabilities to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide technical leadership on small initiatives and collaborate with business stakeholders and Information Technology teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service to other business teams and make decisions with the customer in mind. Uphold customer service excellence values through exceptional delivery, proactive communication, and effective planning of technical changes.
Qualifications:- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus a minimum of 10 years of experience doing Systems Analysis and Design (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
- Minimum 6 years' experience required completing development or functional configuration in the SAP IS-U module. Working experiences in SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing, Device Management, Intercompany Data Exchange and/or Energy Data Management modules will be considered.
- Strong experience developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications, including systems analysis, solution design, integration, testing, and production support.
- Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues, evaluate solution options, and deliver practical, business-focused recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SAP ERP environments, including SAP ERP 6.0; experience with the Utility Industry Specific module (IS-U), Web Dynpro, SAP Portal, or SAP Workflow is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably within the electrical utility industry, is considered an asset.
Important:- Permanent, full-time role.
- Monday - Friday schedule.
- Based out of our Calgary office location.
- This position will be required to participate in an on-call technical support rotation.
- This is a unionized role and the successful applicant will be required to become a union member on hire if they are not one already.
- Some light travel would be required for the role (~5%).
