Job Description Summary:Under the general supervision of the IT Director, the Senior Systems & Infrastructure Administratoris a hands-on position focused on technical problem-solving, infrastructure support, ticket resolution, and technology setup for new and acquired locations. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who can work independently, communicate clearly, and follow issues through completion.This in-person position will be based at the Summit administrative building in Lawrenceville, GA, but travel to support our various locations will be required.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot network, connectivity, hardware, and IT system issues across clinic, ASC, and corporate locations.
- Serve as an escalation resource for technical issues requiring additional experience or onsite support.
- Coordinate and complete assigned infrastructure work for new and acquired locations, including connectivity, network equipment, workstations, phones, printers, and scanners.
- Maintain checklists, timelines, and status updates for assigned location openings, equipment deployments, and infrastructure projects.
- Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPN connections, and internet connectivity.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Windows environments, user accounts, access permissions, endpoints, and assigned systems.
- Own assigned, escalated, and aging infrastructure tickets in SolarWinds through resolution.
- Work with the IT Director and IT team to review infrastructure-related tickets, establish priorities, and follow unresolved issues through completion.
- Provide clear status updates and expected completion dates for unresolved issues.
- Work with internet providers, telecommunications providers, contractors, and equipment suppliers when outside support is needed.
- Identify recurring technical problems and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Maintain current network diagrams, location infrastructure records, configurations, service-provider contacts, and technical procedures.
- Ensure critical infrastructure documentation, administrative-access information, provider contacts, and recovery procedures are maintained in approved shared systems.
- Maintain accurate records of computers, network equipment, phones, printers, scanners, and other IT assets.
- Assist other IT team members with complex issues and provide day-to-day technical guidance when needed.
- Participate in cross-training and maintain sufficient documentation so critical locations and infrastructure can be supported by multiple IT team members.
- Support equipment deployment, software updates, patching, endpoint protection, backups, and recovery procedures.
- Travel to Summit locations when work cannot be completed remotely.
- Participate in after-hours support for critical issues when needed.
- Follow Summit's security policies and applicable HIPAA requirements.
Required Qualifications:- Five or more years of experience in systems administration, network administration, IT infrastructure, or a similar technical role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across networks, connectivity, hardware, endpoints, and location equipment.
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Windows environments, user accounts, permissions, and endpoints.
- Experience configuring and supporting workstations, printers, scanners, phones, and network equipment.
- Experience using an IT ticketing platform and following issues through resolution.
- Ability to document technical information, configurations, and procedures accurately.
- Ability to coordinate technical work with employees, service providers, and contractors.
- Ability to manage multiple technical issues and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate status, risks, and expected completion dates clearly and proactively.
- Ability to travel to Summit locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting a geographically distributed, multi-site organization.
- Experience supporting infrastructure for new locations or acquired businesses.
- Healthcare IT experience supporting physician practices, ASCs, or other clinical locations.
- Familiarity with HIPAA security requirements.
- Experience with IT asset-management and secure credential-management systems.
- Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or comparable certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
