Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as the front door for Observability, analytics, dashboard services, and application onboarding across EOPS. This role functions as a strategic leader and trusted advisor who partners with business stakeholders, application owners, support teams, and leadership to capture requirements, evaluate reporting opportunities, prioritize demand, and deliver meaningful dashboards and analytics solutions that improve operational performance and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the enterprise observability dashboard and analytics roadmap aligned to business priorities, operational objectives, and customer needs.
  • Lead intake discussions for new applications, services, and reporting requests to identify dashboard, KPI, and data visualization requirements.
  • Serve as the product owner for dashboard and reporting capabilities, ensuring alignment across business stakeholders, application support teams, engineering teams, and leadership.
  • Develop scalable intake and onboarding frameworks for new applications requiring operational, executive, or customer-facing reporting.
  • Partner directly with internal customers to identify metrics, success criteria, reporting requirements, and desired business outcomes.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable dashboard solutions, reporting frameworks, and analytics models.
  • Coordinate development of role-based dashboards supporting executives, portfolio managers, application support teams, engineers, operations personnel, and internal NFCU customers.
  • Create executive scorecards, portfolio dashboards, operational health dashboards, workforce dashboards, incident and availability reporting, and customer-facing reporting solutions.
  • Drive adoption of Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow reporting, and other enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Present regular executive updates and insights derived from dashboards and analytics solutions.
  • Lead stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions for new reporting initiatives.
  • Promote dashboard standards, governance, data quality, and reporting consistency across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to automate data collection, dashboard refreshes, KPI generation, and reporting processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by evaluating dashboard effectiveness and incorporating stakeholder feedback.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience working with business stakeholders, application owners, and technical teams to gather and document requirements.
  • Extensive experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to transform complex operational and business data into actionable insights.
  • Experience managing application intake, reporting backlogs, prioritization activities, and customer engagement processes.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience developing KPIs, scorecards, operational metrics, service health reporting, and executive dashboards.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams, departments, and stakeholder groups in large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, data integration, and enterprise reporting architectures.


Desired Qualifications
  • Experience leading observability operations across an enterprise
  • Experience implementing and operating Dynatrace
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
  • Experience developing workforce, capacity, availability, vulnerability, and operational reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting internal customer-facing analytics programs.
  • Experience implementing reporting governance, KPI standardization, and dashboard lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of Power BI administration, data visualization best practices, and self-service analytics enablement.
