Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the AI&T effort for a major space program throughout the full product lifecycle
  • Plan the space vehicle and subsystem test efforts (including the sequence of activities, required facilities, special test equipment, personnel, schedule, risks, and opportunities)
  • Work with Systems Engineering to develop test plans and procedures in support of requirements verification & validation activities
  • Identify and select facilities to perform major AI&T events
  • Write, review, update, and execute test plans, test procedures and test scripts
  • Develop and implement system for creation, tracking, and execution of test procedures and test scripts
  • Work closely with system integrators to support development of program integration & test plans and practices
  • Prepare and give presentations to internal team, management, customers, and partners
  • Own company-wide testing and verification & validation processes and practices


Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle development and Systems Engineering practices, primarily focused on AI&T activities
  • Hardware and software test planning and execution experience
  • Strong understanding of space vehicle AI&T campaigns for government and/or NASA programs
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting space vehicles, and their related components and systems
  • Experience with spacecraft command and control systems, simulators, software test benches and other electrical ground support equipment
  • Ability to lead and manage various test engineering activities with both internal and external partners
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with software-based test tools, Product Data Management tools and configuration management practices
  • AI&T lead on previous projects
  • Experience reviewing requirements and writing detailed test procedures and associated test scripts
  • Experience with lunar rover, human spaceflight and/or autonomous software systems
