SummaryThe Senior Superintendent provides leadership and direction across multiple construction projects, ensuring the successful execution of safety, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. This role directly oversees and mentors up to two early-career superintendents, providing guidance on career development, project management, and field leadership. The Senior Superintendent acts as a critical link between the field and senior management, ensuring seamless project delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities- Project Oversight
- Directly manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure design, budget, and schedule compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive construction plans and address challenges proactively.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, and profitability across assigned projects, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the field team and operations management, facilitating efficient communication.
- Leadership and Mentoring
- Fosters the development of future leaders by mentoring and training, focusing on field leadership, technical skills, and professional growth.
- Provide consistent feedback and support to develop team members into self-sufficient leaders.
- Lead by example, promoting company values and a culture of safety and quality.
- Safety and Compliance
- Oversee safety protocols across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company standards.
- Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks, addressing hazards promptly.
- Operational Support
- Support the Field Operations Manager in reviewing constructability, schedules, and quality during preconstruction phases.
- Maintain up-to-date as-built documentation and ensure project reporting is consistent and accurate.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Address and resolve disputes with a focus on collaboration and maintaining positive future opportunities.

Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or ten years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years in a leadership role within the construction industry, including oversight of project teams or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of construction disciplines, scheduling, cost management, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to train and mentor others in a structured environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/ job location(s).
- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred education and experience- Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- 5+ Years as a superintendent in structural concrete construction
- Familiarity with advanced construction management tools and software.
- Strong conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.

Work Environment/Physical Demand- Ability to lift 80 lbs.
- Work in a variable environment, including, but not limited to, high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, and indoor/outdoor settings.
- This position often requires climbing, kneeling, bending, and crawling and the ability to work on ladders, platforms, and mechanical lifts.
Position type, travel, and expected hours of work- This is a full-time, field position.
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
- Typical hours will range from 45-50 hours per week and are subject to change depending on the time of year and workload. This role requires the ability to work non-typical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during non-typical workdays and hours is also necessary.
