Dewberry is seeking a Senior Structures Engineer in our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a nationally recognized multi-disciplined engineering firm providing planning and design services to the Florida Department of Transportation and municipal agencies throughout the state of Florida. The successful candidate will design minor and major bridges and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures). • Perform structural analysis and develop structures designs, construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and technical specifications
• Review and coordinate structures plans prepared by other Consultants as part of Dewberry’s CFX GEC contract
• Coordinate with contractors, perform bridge inspections, and develop solutions to issues that arise during the construction of various types of structures
• Collaborate with other Transportation Discipline Leads and Project Managers
• Assign tasks and provide technical assistance to less-experienced Structures Engineers
• Assist with the preparation of project schedules and budgets
• Prepare marketing materials and serve as Structures Lead during project pursuit presentations
• Perform QC reviews of design calculations, documents, and plans

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 15+ years of experience working on bridge transportation projects
• FL PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry-leading professionals
