Full Job Description
Lycopodium Americas is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Mississauga, ON. Reporting to the Chief Engineer - Civil/Structural the Senior Structural Engineer will provide technical expertise and coordinate expertise from external sources to effectively complete project or study requirements. The tasks you'll perform • Deliver accurate structural designs and drawings (concrete, steel, and foundations) aligned with project, client, and regulatory standards. • Perform engineering design calculations and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes to meet project and process requirements. • Ensure timely delivery of structural designs within agreed schedules and man-hour budgets. • Conduct and support design reviews to ensure full compliance with design intent and applicable codes and standards. • Collaborate with and support the drafting team, providing clear design input to enable efficient drawing production. • Manage vendor and procurement inputs, including tender evaluations, technical recommendations, and review of vendor documentation. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and deliverables, including scopes of work, specifications, material take-offs, and project records. • Support project delivery and team performance through stakeholder collaboration, mentoring, documentation control, and contribution to scope, cost, and schedule (including ad-hoc travel).
