Full Job Description
Position Summary:
Analytic Services, Inc. (ANSER) is seeking a Senior Strategic Communications Analyst to support the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this key role, you will support the development of effective messaging of CIO priorities and updates to external stakeholders.

This position does not permit hybrid or remote work with all job duties performed full-time onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute social media content strategies aligned with CIO and DoW goals to increase visibility and audience engagement.
  • Plan, schedule, and publish digital content across platforms.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize posts, identify trends, and inform future content decisions.
  • Collaborate across CIO offices to gather information and shape messaging.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and emerging conversations, ensuring timely and professional community engagement.
  • Create graphics, short videos, and other multimedia assets to support campaigns and enhance message delivery.
  • Accompany CIO and PD CIO on local speaking engagements.
  • Assist with the development of strategic messaging, strategies, plans, and engagement vetting, planning, and execution.
  • Draft talking points, briefings, communication reports, and press releases.
  • Develop and internally coordinate the response to media inquiries tasked to DWD CIO, in coordination with other DoW offices with equities when applicable.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) Public Affairs, Office of General Counsel, and OSW Legislative Affairs liaisons.

Required Qualifications:
  • Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public policy, political science, information technology, or other related field. Master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of work experience.
  • 14+ years of strategic communications experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity, AI, and technology concepts and the ability to translate technical information into clear, compelling messaging for external audiences.
  • Experience supporting and briefing clients at the GO/FO/SES-level or similar senior leaders in the DoW.
  • Experience operating social media management platforms.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Hootsuite.
  • Prior experience providing support at the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) level.

Full-Time Salary Range for this position:

$143,100-$207,600 USD
