Job Summary

The Senior Public Engagement Manager is responsible for leading strategic outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts for customer delivery projects within an assigned territory, including substation optimization and undergrounding initiatives. This role requires extensive experience collaborating with technical and customer-facing teams, coordinating complex internal and external communications, and operating independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project-specific public engagement strategies.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and distribute communications to property owners and other stakeholders.
  • Manage, track, and respond to project-related inquiries from external stakeholders.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of project developments to support successful execution.
  • Participate in project team meetings, field reviews, pre-construction meetings, and customer interactions on-site.
  • Partner with Government & Community Relations Managers to determine appropriate engagement approaches.
  • Coordinate development of letters, presentations, and other communication materials with internal teams, including Communications, Legal, Engineering, and leadership.
  • Oversee the printing and distribution of external communications.
  • Monitor and document stakeholder concerns and responses for assigned projects.
  • Lead the planning and execution of public information meetings.


Basic / Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of relevant experience;
  • In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 3 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 7 year(s) related work experience

Working Conditions
  • Field Mobility Classification - Work location is highly mobile, working at various facilities or field locations with occasional onsite meetings after the onboarding period. Employee must live within a reasonable commute to the posted reporting location, not greater than 50 miles one way.
  • Availability for travel and after-hours events.
  • Frequent travel to construction sites to meet with crews and customers.
  • Availability to serve in an on-call capacity.
