Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our rapidly growing accounting team. This role will be expected to perform a variety of general accounting functions along with leading the company in accounts payable and fixed asset reporting. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for applying GAAP, reviewing and analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, prepaids, capital expenditures, and other financial data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Maintenance, and IT departments on financial matters
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring business partners are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist Controller with financial statement audits
  • Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations to management
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Assist with tax reporting and compliance
  • Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, estimates, and procedures
  • Ensure monthly expense reports are reviewed and categorized appropriately
  • Support process improvements and implementation of best practices in accounting operations
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
