Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a senior professional with strong knowledge is system engineering to support the CMSS program in its Surveillance Systems division, with sustainment of the current block 10.2 weapons system, and future sustainment of Meadowlands. The systems engineer will be responsible for managing complex projects or processes with general oversight, leading technical design management and obsolescence systems design, development, and testing. The individual should be versed in the complete design life cycle.

Essential Functions:
  • Translate customer capability needs into system requirements and manage allocation and traceability across the lifecycle
  • Maintain and control technical baselines through consistent development and management of system documentation
  • Apply working knowledge of RF systems, components, and test capabilities to support system design and verification
  • Develop and maintain system architecture models using tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar platforms
  • Create, update, and manage interface documentation, including ICDs and IDDs
  • Perform systems engineering tasks related to obsolescence, including trade studies, requirement comparisons, and lifecycle impact assessments
  • Generate and update Air Force Technical Orders and support integration activities with a high-level understanding of information system network architecture
  • Communicate effectively across functions and collaborate closely with Integrated Product Teams in an Agile environment


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's Degree in revlevant field and 4 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with requirements in either development or sustainment of a DOD system
  • 1+ years of experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Must possess and be able to maintain an active Top Secret Security Clearance


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Direct experience with Electronic Warfare weapon systems and their operation
  • Familiarity with the Systems Engineering Technical Review processes and ability to tailor
  • Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $92,500-$171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
