Job Title: Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer - Reliability

Job Schedule: 9-80 Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

Reliability Engineer supporting various programs within Ground, Space and Airborne Systems . Typical tasks include performance of Reliability Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Redundancy Implementation Trade Analysis, Availability Analysis, Maintainability Analysis, FRACAS, Safety Analysis, Diminished Manufacturing Source Analysis / Component Analysis and Sustainment Activities .

Essential Functions:

  • Generate Reliability Plans and Procedures
  • Interpret and allocate reliability/availability requirements
  • Building of component level failure rate models
  • Ground, Aerospace or Defense/Government program experience
  • Proficient with reliability predictions, FMECA, ESA, RMA and FTA analysis
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Experience with reliability demonstration testing, thermal cycling, burn-in and vibration
  • Team player able to work in small or large team environments, interact with vendors and have strong written and communications skills, including presentation skills
  • Possession of a security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Must have experience and be competent with Microsoft office tools.
  • Perform Reliability, Maintainability, Availability Analyses
  • Conduct Reliability and Availability Redundancy Trades
  • Perform sparing analysis in support of availability requirements and sustainment activities
  • Knowledge of mechanical reliability concepts and equations
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously during development and production stages
  • FMEA and FMECA Analyses
  • Support FRACAS activities


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years with prior relevant experience
  • Master's Degree and 4+ years with prior relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • 4+ years experience with MIL-HDBK-217F, Telcordia, MIL-STD-1629A and MIL-HDBK-1547A, MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-882
  • 4+ years' experience with Prediction software tools like PTC Windchill Quality Solutions, and Relyance etc.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Electronics component experience
  • Experience in proposal and procedure writing
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing methods
  • Working knowledge of AS9100
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Stress Analysis


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the NYC areas is Min $106,500.00 - $197,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
