Job Description

The candidate will work with a globally set of teams which includes SAP Basis, Security, ABAP, SAP functional team members, Infrastructure team and other IT process partners providing support for existing and new initiatives. The candidate will work closely with and advise the SAP Technical Architect on architectural topics and new applications / technologies to be integrated.

 

The candidate will play an important role in cross-functional projects, relied upon to answer complex questions, and assists with program-wide initiatives.

 

Our organization is on a transformation journey and we envision using newer SAP technologies and infrastructure as part of this transformation and the candidate must have exposure to these new technologies. It is expected that the candidate will be able to both lead technical initiatives and be hands-on.

 

As SAP Integration Architect, you will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless connectivity between systems, processes, and data across the pharmaceutical organization's digital landscape. Your expertise will help drive innovation and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our integration solutions using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and other middleware.

 

What will you do in this role:

    • Design and implement integration solutions using SAP BTP iPaaS capabilities

    • Administrate, monitor and migrate legacy PI interfaces to SAP Cloud Integration

    • Develop and optimize interfaces for real-time and batch integration across SAP and non-SAP system

    • Leverage SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Trading Partner Management, API Management, Edge Integration Cell) for building robust and scalable integration solutions.

    • Implement event driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh or other event streaming technologies

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, architects, and developers, to gather and analyze integration requirements.

    • Translate business needs into technical designs and integration workflows

    • Ensure integration comply with organizational security standards, regulatory guidelines (e.g. GxP, HIPAA, SOX), and industry best practices.

    • Manage data flow governance and error handling mechanisms

    • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration processes to ensure performance, uptime, and data accuracy.

    • Conduct regular health checks and implement proactive measures for continuous improvement in cooperation with the support organization

    • Create and maintain technical documentation for integration processes, configurations, and best practices.

    • Act as a subject matter expert and be a leader in the space.

    • Advocate for process automation and digital transformation initiatives within the organization.

    • Strive for and promote continuous improvement of the integration space and architecture and ensure standards are followed.

 

 What should you have:

    • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required

    • Minimum of 7 years SAP hands-on experience with Process Integration (PI), Process orchestration (PO), SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management).

    • Proficiency in developing integration between SAP ECC/S4HANA and non-SAP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday).

    • Knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven).

    • Proficiency in authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, SAML).

    • Familiarity with JSON, JAVA, XML, XSLT, OData, REST, JDBC (SQL) and Groovy Script

    • Experience with SAP Event Mesh

    • Experience with BTP Extension Suite, SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming), SAP Cloud Foundry and Neo clients is a plus

    • Experience with Cloud ALM for monitoring purposes

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for SAP integration projects.

    • Exposure to other middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi) is a plus

    • JAVA based troubleshooting on PI systems is a must.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication.

    • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    • Deal with ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and meet stretch goals.

    • Experience in a life sciences or regulated environment with familiarity with GxP, SOX, Compliance Framework is a plus

The salary range for this role is

$117,000.00 - $184,200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
