The Senior Regional Airport Compliance Specialist is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the consistent application and adherence to regulatory compliance standards across a designated region of airports. This position oversees audits, training initiatives, team management, and cross-departmental coordination to maintain compliance with federal, state, and company standards. The Senior Specialist will play a key role in elevating operational performance, supporting new station launches, and driving continuous improvement in guest service procedures and training protocols. As we expand into International Operations, this role will be required to have expertise in International procedures and experience working with additional regulatory agencies required for International Operations.Here's what you'll do
  • Strategic Oversight: Manage a portfolio of regional airports, ensuring compliance with training and guest service procedures.
  • Training Leadership: Spearhead the development, implementation, and review of training programs for Above and Below Wing operations in collaboration with the Airport Training Manager.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all training record requirements meet FAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Audit Management: Conduct and oversee regular audits per the Breeze audit program, offering corrective action recommendations and ensuring implementation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a group of team members, fostering professional growth, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Operational Communication: Serve as the liaison between regulatory training departments, contract training facilities, and company departments to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • System Optimization: Utilize and manage the Qualification Training Management System (QTMS) for accurate record keeping and compliance tracking.
  • Performance Reporting: Report training status, compliance metrics, and audit findings to leadership, offering actionable insights for improvement.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support regional teams, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned


Here's what you need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in airport operations, training, or compliance roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Above and Below Wing processes & International Procedures.
  • Proven ability to adapt to flexible schedules and operational demands.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Expertise in FAA Part 121 N&O regulations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirements
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Aviation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with electronic record-keeping systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in managing audits for FAA, DOD, or IOSA standards.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, wind and varying temperatures.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and demonstrating proper ramp handling techniques throughout the workday.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull baggage, cargo, and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds, and demonstrate safe lifting practices.
  • Ability to safely operate and instruct employees in the use of ground support equipment (GSE), baggage handling systems, aircraft servicing equipment, and other ramp tools.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle baggage, training materials, equipment, and electronic devices used for documentation and instruction.
  • Ability to work in high-noise environments around operating aircraft while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to safely ascend and descend aircraft stairs, belt loaders, and other ground support equipment while conducting hands-on training.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment
