Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support ISR activities across multiple locations. This role will implement technical troubleshooting techniques for a wide range of electronic communications components for both RF and digital systems in order to isolate and resolve faults.

Essential Functions:
  • Work rotating shifts and alternate with co-workers on weekend and holiday standby in support of maintenance and operations on program aircraft.
  • Inspect and maintain ground support equipment.
  • Update, support, and implement changes and reviews of program Technical Publications, Service Bulletins, and Service Letters to program aircraft.
  • Utilize engineering drawings and vendor manuals to resolve user concerns which are not covered in Technical Publications.
  • Should be familiar with and have the ability to utilize a wide range of test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, and network analyzers.
  • Must be available for on-call support 24/7.
  • Minimal travel up to 5%.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obatain/maintain Top Secret clearance.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting secure communication devices, to include HAIPE, KIV-7, and KY-100.
  • Demonstrated Avionics/Network/Communications Technician with a high degree of tact and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Five years of experience with avionics, communications, and network systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows, Linux, and Microsoft Office and possess commensurate networking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating maintenance and operational problems; then quickly and accurately resolve situations.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for a wide range of electronic communications components for both RF and digital systems in order to isolate and resolve faults.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with internal/external stakeholders at all levels including senior/executive leadership.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with ISR products and systems.
  • Expereince with A/C modifications.
