Full Job Description

Help Canadian legal professionals reimagine how they work.

Generative AI is changing legal practice faster than almost any other professional domain and Thomson Reuters is at the center of that shift with CoCounsel and our broader Legal portfolio. We're looking for a Senior Solution Consultant who can walk into a room with lawyers, GCs, or government legal teams and make the possibilities of agentic AI feel real, credible, and immediately useful.

This is a solution-first role. You'll be the technical, product and practice expert who turns "what could AI do for us" into effective discovery and compelling demonstrations, helping our sales teams win by proving value, not just pitching features. You'll work primarily through virtual channels, with in-person travel reserved for high-impact moments.

About the Role

In this role as a Senior Solutions Consultant, you will:

  • Serve as the AI subject-matter expert in the pre-sales cycle, helping prospects and clients across private practice, corporate legal, government, and academia see exactly how generative AI solves their real workflow challenges

  • Design and deliver demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and design-thinking workshops that show what's possible with CoCounsel and Thomson Reuters' Generative AI-enabled platform

  • Partner with account teams to shape deal strategy, identify the right solution fit, and remove technical objections that stall a sale

  • Lead feature/release education and use-case enablement so new and existing clients unlock full value quickly

  • Build and deliver client success plans and value reviews that drive retention and expansion

  • Represent Thomson Reuters as a public voice on AI in legal practice via webinars, conference sessions and industry speaking engagements

  • Stay ahead of the AI landscape by translating emerging capabilities into practical, defensible use cases for legal, government, and academic audiences

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Solutions Consultant if your background includes:

  • Ability to speak fluently about generative AI and agentic workflows and translate that fluency into legal-specific use cases, both litigation and transactional, a GC or managing partner will trust

  • 5+ years in solution consulting, pre-sales or a related client-facing technical role, ideally B2B; public sector/government procurement experience is a plus

  • Comfort with being the smartest person in the room on product and technology, without needing to be the loudest, projecting a strong presence with senior executives, partners and large audiences alike

  • Experience operating inside a complex, matrixed organization and knowing how to build influence without formal authority

  • Sharp analytical instincts, real attention to detail, and the creativity to design a demo or workshop that actually lands

  • Strong track record of juggling multiple client engagements and deadlines without dropping the ball

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; JD with practice experience is a strong asset

  • Well developed Microsoft 365 skills and the ability to pick up new web-based platforms quickly

  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
