What You'll Do:As a Senior Software Engineer on the Sharing team, you will build the foundation that powers how millions of users capture, share, and discover content on Roblox Moments. You will work across the stack to deliver high-performance experiences, from client-side user flows to the backend systems that serve billions of contents each day.
You will partner closely with product and other engineering teams to define architecture, improve reliability, and drive measurable impact on engagement and content growth. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on building scalable, developer facing and user-facing products that blend technical depth with creative impact.
You Will: - Design and build engaging, high-performance content creation/sharing and consumption experiences across Roblox Moments
- Own projects end to end, from design and architecture to launch and iteration, driving measurable impact on user engagement and content quality.
- Collaborate with engineers across product, safety, and infrastructure teams to define best practices and align on scalable solutions.
- Identify gaps in performance, testing, and experimentation workflows, and lead improvements that make the team more effective and efficient.
- Uphold high standards of technical quality and user experience while rapidly iterating on new features.
- Contribute to a strong, inclusive team culture by helping refine processes, mentoring peers, and supporting each other's success.
You Have:- 5+ years building production frontend or client applications, working on complex user interfaces in close partnership with product and design.
- Deep hands-on React experience: hooks, component composition, render performance, and state management at scale with Redux or comparable patterns.
- Solid web and client fundamentals: modern JavaScript, rendering and layout, and the judgment to know when a framework abstraction is helping you and when it's in your way.
- Experience integrating with backend services over REST or GraphQL, and designing client data flows that stay resilient when the network doesn't cooperate.
- Curiosity about working in more than one language and runtime, and enthusiasm for learning Luau if you don't know it yet.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
