POSITION: Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039

JOB DUTIES: Leads one or more software engineering teams through the full development lifecycle defining design requirements with stakeholders, architecting scalable solutions, and ensuring system interoperability. Applies deep technical expertise to solve complex engineering and architecture challenges, using diagnostic analysis, operational insights, and product alignment. Codes solutions independently and mentors peers through code reviews, debugging, and refactoring efforts. Establishes standards and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability across teams. Oversees software quality, release management, and monitoring strategies, including observability and disaster recovery planning. Identifies and resolves severe security vulnerabilities, contributes to secure coding strategies, and ensures compliance. Drives process and productivity improvements across teams and functions, collaborating with Product Support, QA, and SREs. Demonstrates thought leadership through technical guidance, coaching, and participation in senior leadership discussions on current and future engineering needs. 100% telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S., but work must be performed within normal business hours Central Standard Time.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a data related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or a related field.

ALTERNITAVELY, Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a data related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a related field.

Applicant must have four (4) years of demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • Coding Languages (Ruby, PHP, .net, JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, Python, and CSS).
  • Coding Frameworks/Tools (Laravel, Codelgniter, Flask, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, VueJS, ReactJS, PySpark, AWS, Docker, and Databricks).
  • Manual and Automation Tools and Testing.
  • Multi-Tiered Web Based Systems and Complex Data-driven Applications.
  • Version Control Systems.
  • Technical Strategy Development using real-time metrics, performance data, and incident trends using DataDog.
  • Visualize system architecture, data flow, and service boundaries using Draw.io and Confluence.
  • Align technical initiatives with product and business timelines using Atlassian JIRA Advanced Roadmaps.
  • Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Agile Practices and Methodologies.
  • Performance Monitoring and Observability.
  • Identify hotspots, tech debt, and refactoring opportunities using AWS Bedrock, and GitHub Copilot.
