What You'll Deliver - Design and deliver scalable, user-focused features across backend services, APIs, and frontend applications
- Drive improvements to platform performance, reliability, and maintainability across a complex SaaS environment
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product goals into technical solutions that support long-term growth
- Lead technical problem-solving efforts, proactively identifying and resolving product-level issues
- Contribute reusable, high-quality code that accelerates future development and platform consistency
- Influence architectural decisions that strengthen scalability, security, and system robustness
- Support a collaborative engineering culture through mentorship, code reviews, and process improvements
- Help evolve engineering best practices that enable teams to deliver efficiently and continuously improve
What You'll BringMust-Haves:
- Proven professional software development experience using Clojure
- Strong understanding of scalable SaaS application development and modern software architecture
- Solid SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and engineering best practices
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed, cross-functional teams
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with ClojureScript
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, or similar technologies
- Understanding of application security principles
- Passion for continuous learning and improving engineering processes

Pay Transparency for Colorado ApplicantsThe base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
