The Senior Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsibilities- Code software applications that align with business requirements, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Standardize quality assurance procedures for software, overseeing testing and debugging while developing necessary fixes.
- Research complaints and make adjustments or recommendations to resolve complex software-related issues.
- Begin to influence departmental strategy and make decisions on technical approaches for project components, working independently with considerable latitude.
- Work closely with business leaders to develop innovative solutions that enhance functionality, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
- Design and review software solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring a smooth transition to the development team.
- Conduct quality reviews of software and actively work to improve deliverable quality.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5 or more years of mainframe experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure
- COBOL coding experience.
- Experience with CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
- Agile experience
Preferred Qualifications- CAS knowledge
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Mongo DB
- Azure Databricks
- Master's Degree

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$106,900 - $147,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
