Join Clariant and make an impact through your financial expertise. As a Senior Site Controller, you will partner with site management to provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations that support business decisions, cost management, and profitability.
You will lead key controlling activities including month-end closing, budgeting, standard costing, variance analysis, capital investment reviews, and financial reporting. You will also serve as a Center of Excellence for the North American Cost Controlling team, sharing best practices, providing guidance and training, and supporting consistent financial processes across the region.

Responsibilities- Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support site management and strategic decision-making.
- Lead month-end closing, cost analysis, variance analysis, and KPI reporting for production sites.
- Analyze labor, utilities, production costs, and cost center performance, recommending corrective actions when needed.
- Lead the production cost center budgeting and planning process across North American legal entities, including standard costing, activity rates, allocations, and assessments.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date standard costing, collaborating with Production and Master Data teams on BOMs and recipes.
- Serve as the Cost Controlling Center of Excellence for North America, providing guidance, training, and best practices to the team.
- Implement global reporting and cost accounting best practices across NORAM.
- Partner with the Excellence team to validate cost savings calculations.
- Review and approve capital investment projects and financial justifications, while monitoring and closing local CARs.
- Ensure strong internal controls, financial accuracy, asset protection, and audit compliance.
- Collaborate with global teams on transfer pricing and provide support to regional and global controlling organizations.
Requirements- Bachelor's or equivalent in Accounting or Mgmt. accounting
- Minimum of 5 yrs' experience in management accounting
- Strong ACB experience
- Exposure to SAP
- Ability to deal with all management levels
- Thorough understanding of financial analysis techniques
This role is considered hybrid, with some days based in Charlotte office and others requiring travel to our different sites. Due to the business needs and expected timeline to fill this position, candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and available to start within a short timeframe.
