Job Summary
The Sr. ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions focused on Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM). This role will support complex risk and compliance workflows, develop integrations, implement AI-enabled capabilities, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, best-practice ServiceNow solutions within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver ServiceNow solutions across IRM, GRC, and TPRM modules, including Policy & Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Management, and Vendor Risk Management.
• Execute backlog stories from technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design, configure, and maintain workflows, business rules, script includes, UI policies, client scripts, and other platform components.
• Configure ServiceNow applications to support risk management, compliance, audit, and third-party risk processes.
• Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, IntegrationHub, and MID Server technologies.
• Design and implement AI-enabled capabilities within ServiceNow to support intelligent risk mapping, evidence collection, workflow automation, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance activities, and production deployments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, and implementation artifacts.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to platform governance and development standards.
• Identify technical debt, recommend remediation strategies, and support platform optimization initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations related to ServiceNow development and platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) modules.
• Experience implementing and supporting Policy & Compliance Management, Risk Management, Audit Management, and Vendor Risk Management solutions.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow development best practices.
• Experience with Glide APIs, Flow Designer, business rules, script includes, client scripts, and workflow development.
• Experience building ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
• Experience configuring ServiceNow user interfaces, workflows, user roles, security controls, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, AI Search, Now Assist, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions.
• Knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, COBIT, or similar standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, dashboard development, and KRI/KPI reporting.
• Familiarity with responsible AI practices, AI governance, and human-in-the-loop review processes.
• Background in enterprise risk management, information security, cybersecurity, audit, or compliance domains.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations and platform modernization initiatives.
Certifications
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC) preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Vendor Risk Management (CIS-VRM) preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
