Senior Seeker Radar Systems Engineer
Position Responsibilities:- Provide subject matter expertise in support of algorithm development for radar signal processing techniques such as Kalman filtering, probabilistic and statistical modeling, and measurement processing from pulsed-Doppler waveforms
- Design of algorithms that process signal returns into discriminated targets and track targets through mission timeline
- Define system performance requirements and ensure interface definition supports various functional components of the seeker's and missile's architecture
- Conduct analysis to optimize total system-of-systems performance and/or system architecture as applied to algorithmic functionality pertaining to the acquisition and tracking of targets
- Conduct analysis on seeker simulation data to identify areas of improvement and guide recommendations for system robustness in the presence of challenging operational environments
- Review and modify the application of general digital signal processing techniques to the processing of reradiated signal content to ensure accurate signal characteristic identification
- Support the tactical implementation of algorithm designs into Ada or C++ software
This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- 5 years of experience in Digital Signal Processing/Radar/Digital Communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, waveform processing, detection/acquisition/discrimination, channel estimation, filter design, resampling theory, etc.)
- Experience with MATLAB for data analysis, prototyping, and/or modeling and simulation
- Experience in digital signal processing theory, including the application of fundamental digital signal processing techniques
- Knowledge of linear signal theory, Fourier transforms, and communication theory
- RF, electrical transmission, signal processing and modeling in MATLAB
- System test experience including test design, implementation, and execution for breadboard and brassboard hardware
- Experience working in a fast-paced, independent research and development (IRAD) environment
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages and development environments (C++, Ada, Python, etc.) in an Agile environment
- Experience in formal technical writing (i.e. Whitepapers, Tech-Notes, Technical Journals, and Research Reports)
- Experience in technology readiness level (TRL) maturation of novel technologies and concepts

Summary pay range: $136,850 - $185,150
