Overview

Position Summary: The Senior Security Specialist provides security administration, access control, and facility support within an executive-level DoD SAP and SCI environment. This position supports the Navy N9SP Office at the Pentagon and serves as CSSO support for visitor processing, personnel access verification, classified material safeguarding, and SAP and SCI facility security operations in accordance with applicable Government security requirements.

Responsibilities

    • Perform access control, visitor control, and security administration functions for SAP and SCI facilities in support of CSSO operations.
    • Maintain the physical security standards of assigned SAP and SCI facilities in accordance with approved Government requirements and local procedures.
    • Review and verify personnel security clearances and SAP and SCI accesses for incoming visitors and attendee lists using Government-approved systems and prepare and transmit collateral, SAP, and SCI visit certifications, as required.
    • Receive, process, and maintain collateral, SAP, and SCI visit notifications in accordance with established procedures.
    • Develop, coordinate, submit for approval, implement, and maintain entry and exit inspection procedures and related facility security procedures in coordination with the Government security staff.
    • Support the Government security staff in preparing for and executing security inspections, staff assistance visits, and self-inspection activities, including coordinating documentation, validating records, responding to inspection requirements, and tracking corrective actions to closure.
    • Support conference room operations and facilitate controlled access for nonresident personnel conducting document reviews or authorized computer usage.
    • Safeguard classified information and support proper handling, storage, accountability, and protection of classified materials within the facility.
    • Generate, update, and maintain document control and security-related standard operating procedures and office guidance.
    • Coordinate effectively across Government, contractor, and external stakeholders; prepare briefings, reports, standard operating procedures, and official correspondence; and work independently in fast-paced classified environments.


Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to meet any applicable Special Access Program eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management, a technical discipline, security administration, or a related field; additional directly relevant specialized and/or military experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of directly relevant experience supporting security administration functions in collateral, SAP, and SCI environments, including visitor control, access verification, classified material safeguarding, and records maintenance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collateral, SAP, and SCI security administration procedures and experience supporting secure facility operations in executive-level or high-visibility Government environments.
  • Experience supporting SAP and SCI facility operations, including physical security, visitor processing, access control, and maintenance of applicable security records and procedures, preferably in direct support of a CSSO, CPSO, or similar program security function.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, and demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
