Position Summary
The Senior Scheduler owns the master construction schedule for a data center project, developing and maintaining the CPM logic across civil, structural, MEP, and commissioning scopes, and leading schedule risk analysis for the project team. This role works directly with the construction manager, superintendent, and trade partners to keep the schedule accurate, defensible, and aligned with actual field progress.
This is a field-based position supporting construction projects in North Louisiana, Virginia, and Corpus Christi, Texas. Project assignments and reporting locations will vary based on operational needs. Travel and/or temporary relocation may be required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the master CPM schedule in Primavera P6, including logic ties between civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and commissioning activities.
- Lead monthly schedule updates, incorporating actual progress, subcontractor input, and revised durations.
- Prepare three-week look-ahead schedules in coordination with the superintendent and subcontractor foremen.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and identify critical path and near-critical path activities requiring management attention.
- Prepare schedule narratives and fragnets for change order requests and time impact analyses.
- Supervise the junior scheduler, reviewing schedule updates and fragnet development for accuracy.
- Coordinate commissioning schedule integration, including IST windows and system-by-system turnover sequencing.
- Present schedule status and recovery plans at monthly owner and executive review meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of scheduling experience on commercial or industrial construction projects, including CPM schedule development.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong working knowledge of time impact analysis and schedule delay documentation.
- Experience supervising scheduling staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience scheduling a data center or other mission-critical construction project.
- Familiarity with commissioning sequencing and integrated systems testing windows.
- PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification.
Work Environment
Primarily office-based within an on-site field office, with regular site walks to verify progress against the schedule.
