Job Summary:


As the Standby Integrated Services Consultant in the Electric Power Division, you will lead the development, commercialization, and lifecycle growth of Standby aftermarket service offerings. Serving as the primary aftermarket services interface for the Standby business, you will work across sales and enterprise partners to identify customer and dealer needs, define service strategies, and develop scalable solutions that improve customer outcomes and drive aftermarket growth. 


You will be responsible for translating market requirements into actionable service offerings and guiding initiatives from concept through deployment. This includes developing commercialization strategies, defining customer value propositions, supporting dealer readiness, and measuring offer performance to ensure solutions deliver value for customers, dealer and Caterpillar. 


The role combines strategic portfolio management, solutions development, commercialization planning, and cross-functional leadership to strengthen the Standby aftermarket portfolio and expand lifecycle value across the installed base. 


What you will do:


  • Lead the development and integration of Standby aftermarket offerings, including modernization programs, repair options, digital capabilities, maintenance solutions, and other lifecycle services
  • Develop mid- and long-term aftermarket portfolio strategies that align customer needs, dealer priorities, product group objectives, and business growth goals.
  • Translate Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) insights into actionable service solutions, business cases, and portfolio investment recommendations.
  • Define commercialization strategies, customer value propositions, offering structures, pricing frameworks , from solution development through launch
  • Develop and execute global go to market strategies for Standby services, including upgrades, repair options, maintenance, and other lifecycle offerings
  • Translate customer and dealer needs into targeted offerings and guide them from concept to adoption
  • Define commercial positioning, pricing strategy and programs
  • Develop dealer enablement strategies, implementation plans, and supporting tools to facilitate successful adoption and execution of aftermarket offerings
  • Monitor offering adoption, portfolio performance, and market feedback to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous portfolio growth.

  • Customer Focus: Extensive experience and knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive experience and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Extensive experience and knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Value Selling: Working knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:


  • Bachelor's degree in a business concentration including marketing, business administration, economics, finance, and related fields from an accredited university.  Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in power generation, energy systems, electrical systems, related industries.
  • Strong customer engagement experience with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Strong ability to problem solve.
  • Desire and willingness to learn and grow.

Additional Information:


  • This position is located in Irving, TX.
  • Travel up to 30% is required.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is offered for this position.

  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
