JOB SUMMARY

The Safety Senior Manager brings over 10 years of experience in construction or oil & gas industry, leading teams and driving safety awareness across all organizational levels. As a strategic business partner with strong operational expertise, this role adapts policies to meet evolving industry needs while fostering continuous improvement and strengthening the company's overall safety culture. The Safety Senior Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include defining safety goals and strategic initiatives, maintaining accurate records of training, inspections, and incident reporting, and ensuring all personnel have access to and properly use required safety equipment. Remains current on industry practices and regulatory changes to promote ongoing compliance and continual improvement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enforce Blackeagle Energy Services Safety Programs in conjunction with established policies, procedures, and laws/regulations to prevent injuries and provide a safe working environment for the employees, contractors, and clients.
  • Conduct hazard/risk assessments.
  • Facilitate Safety training programs and initiatives, participate in safety inspections, investigate and report on accidents and incidents. Assist with orientations as needed.
  • Conduct and/or oversee random drug tests. Ensure required number of tests are conducted each quarter.
  • Maintain routine contact with clients' Safety Managers/Representatives and act in the capacity of a Safety Public Relations representative for Blackeagle Energy Services.
  • Maintain schedule of regular safety activities, such as inspections, trainings, etc.
  • Support and embody the company's mission and core values, contributing positively to the team and overall workplace culture.
  • Take ownership of team performance, addressing issues proactively and creating solutions that support productivity and morale.
  • Support employee development through regular feedback, goal setting, and performance evaluations aligned with company objectives.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Over 10 years of experience in construction or oil and gas industry. Demonstrated ability to influence safety awareness and behaviors across all organizational levels, with proven leadership skills and expertise in communicating safety objectives. Skilled at directing internal initiatives to strengthen and enhance company-wide safety programs.
  • Strategic business partner with operational experience, adept at adapting policies and practices to meet evolving industry needs. Focused on fostering continuous improvement to advance the company's overall safety culture and environment.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, skilled in planning and formulating procedures, executing and monitoring programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to present safety-related information to groups of employees; Capable of resolving and/or addressing issues in a timely manner; ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully to gain desired results.
  • Strong background in pipeline fabrication and construction environment. Current knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations and restrictions. Excellent facilitator and able to motivate others to follow the Safety procedures.
  • Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills to promote Safety program, improvement and review company accident reports and implement follow-up action plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft windows environment, using Word, Excel, and e-mail.
  • Bachelor's degree in EH&S or comparable experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in facilitating a wide range of Safety Programs.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, phone, and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry items such as files, boxes, or office supplies (typically up to 20 lbs)
  • Must be able to wear and operate the required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 per year
