Job Title: Senior Risk Manager
Division: Risk and Compliance
Reports To: As per Beazley's organisation chart
Key Relationships: Internally: Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Owners, Control Reporters, Underwriters, Claims and managers of support functions. Externally: Regulators.
Job Summary: The role will deliver a broad range of risk management activities on behalf of Beazley's US and Bermuda entities, with a particular focus on operational risks. This will involve producing risk reports and analysis (including Beazley's US and Bermuda ORSAs), providing review and challenge of first line processes, performing deep-dive reviews on specific risk areas, as well as supporting the risk team with delivering on the wider risk management framework.
The role is most likely to suit an ERM professional, who has significant experience in risk management, preferably within specialty insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide challenge of the first line processes for Beazley's US and Bermuda entities around operational risk, including regulatory, underwriting, claims, finance, procurement, and IT risks as well as operational components of other risk groups including insurance risk.
- Produce risk reporting and opinions, including deep-dive reviews on key risks, hot topics and any risk incidents influencing Beazley's risk profile, to support reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment for Beazley's US and Bermuda entities, particularly those sections relating to insurance and financial risk.
- Support with the development of the wider risk management framework.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with members of the first line, to help support Beazley's risk management framework.
- Collaborate closely with the Global risk team.

- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system. These may include membership of any BFL committees or working groups.

- Experience working as an ERM professional with a focus on enterprise and operational risk within specialty insurance.
- Experience of providing challenge across any of the following areas would be an advantage: Operational risk within Finance, Insurance, IT, and wider Operations teams.
- Experience in providing risk challenge to the first line and producing and presenting risk analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interest in gaining a deeper understanding of insurance and financial risk management in the Lloyd's / London Market.
Aptitude and Disposition
