Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of system- and subsystem-level requirements for an RF chamber supporting a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) environment that includes a high-density RF array wall and full-motion simulation capabilities.
  • Architect and design the RF chamber layout, including array wall feed networks, signal distribution, shielding, isolation, and integration interfaces.
  • Oversee the complete installation of RF equipment, cabling, interconnects, and support infrastructure within the chamber, ensuring compliance with design intent, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Lead RF hardware integration efforts, including amplifiers, filters, switches, antennas, and array wall elements, into the HITL test environment.
  • Own verification and validation (V&V) planning and execution for the RF chamber and associated simulation subsystems, including performance characterization, path-loss modeling, noise analysis, and real-time target/background fidelity assessment.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain RF simulation models (using tools such as HFSS, CST, MATLAB, or equivalent) to support chamber design, array wall performance prediction, and HITL scenario generation.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, supporting sub-system teams, and software developers to ensure seamless integration of RF components into the overall HITL architecture.
  • Conduct technical performance analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution of RF subsystems and simulation environments throughout integration and test phases.
  • Document technical specifications, design decisions, installation procedures, V&V results, and as-built configurations.
  • Interface directly with customers and internal stakeholders to support RF design reviews, requirements reviews, and technical interchange meetings.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years in RF engineering, with a focus on antenna arrays, RF circuit design, or electromagnetic simulation.
  • Strong grasp of electromagnetic/antenna theory and Radars and RF Signatures.
  • Experience with Antenna Array Walls, RF Test and measurement, RF Circuit Design.
  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing and RF lab instrumentation (e.g., VNAs, spectrum analyzers).
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship with an active TOP SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Have foundational knowledge of signal processing algorithms to support RF system analysis, test design, and performance optimization in HITL environments.
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C++, and radar cross-section modeling
