Summary:The
Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst serves as a strategic partner to the Director of Patient Financial Services by providing data analysis, performance monitoring, project coordination, and operational support for revenue cycle functions. This position is responsible for analyzing accounts receivable performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities, tracking key revenue cycle metrics, coordinating process improvement initiatives, and supporting departmental accountability. The role is designed for a high-potential professional seeking to develop leadership capabilities within healthcare revenue cycle operations.

Revenue Cycle Performance Analysis, Metrics, and Reporting:- Analyze accounts receivable balances and performance trends across payers, service lines, and aging categories.
- Identify revenue cycle risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor denial, reimbursement, collection, and cash performance indicators.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for departmental and executive leadership.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain revenue cycle dashboards and scorecards.
- Track key performance indicators including Days in Accounts Receivable, Cash Collections, Denial Rates, Clean Claim Rates, Aged Accounts Receivable, Point-of-Service Collections, and Bad Debt Trends.
- Present performance results and recommendations to leadership.
- Assist with benchmarking performance against organizational goals and industry standards.
Process Improvement and Project Coordination:- Coordinate revenue cycle process improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Patient Access, Health Information Management, Clinical Operations, Finance, and other revenue cycle partners.
- Track project milestones, action items, and deliverables.
- Document workflows and recommend operational improvements.
- Support implementation of new technologies, workflows, and process enhancements.
Departmental Support and Accountability:- Assist the Director in monitoring departmental priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate follow-up on action plans and operational goals.
- Help facilitate department meetings and maintain project tracking tools.
- Support change management efforts related to revenue cycle improvement.
- Serve as a resource to staff regarding performance data and operational initiatives.
- Support processes that improve billing accuracy, transparency, and the overall patient financial experience.
Leadership Development:- Participate in special projects assigned by the Director.
- Develop understanding of all Patient Financial Services functions.
- Assist in the development of operational policies and procedures.
- Serve as a leader for assigned initiatives and workgroups.

QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field required.
- Three to five years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare finance, business analytics, consulting, or healthcare operations.
- Analyzing data and developing actionable recommendations. Experience with project coordination or process improvement initiatives preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools preferred. Demonstrates initiative, accountability, leadership potential, attention to detail, and a willingness to assume increasing responsibility.
