Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field required; or equivalent experience of 5-7 years considered.
• Minimum three years of experience in healthcare reimbursement or Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting.
• Strong quantitative analysis and familiarity with cost and product line concepts.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced skills required.
• Knowledge of Lawson and Epic systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with hospital and Longterm care Cost Report software is essential.
• Basic accounting knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager of Government Reimbursement in preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Analyze reimbursement data and provide insights to optimize reimbursement strategies.
• Coordinate information and communication between various Catholic Health entities and the Government Reimbursement team.
• Act as a liaison with outside auditors and consultants regarding DSH, bad debt, and wage index.
• Serve as the main contact for Medicare and Medicaid government audits affecting hospitals and Longterm care facilities.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of reimbursement analysts to enhance team effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with reporting standards related to reimbursement activities.
