Full Job Description
As a Senior R&D Engineer, Reactor Testing Group you will LEAD by...

  • Managing effective operations of multiple complex, high-throughput reactor systems used for catalyst evaluations, including advanced troubleshooting and on time completion.
  • Leading reactor design modifications, upgrades, and repurposing efforts aligned with evolving testing needs
  • Designing complex experimental protocols and automated data processing code for large datasets using Python, and/or VBA
  • Diagnosing and resolving system-level issues across hardware, instrumentation, and control architecture using your experience in data acquisition and control strategies using LabVIEW, and/or PLC systems.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in reactor capability, reliability, and lab efficiency
  • Mentoring less experienced team members and provide technical guidance across reactor operations and automation.
  • Author technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrating your extensive experience working in a research lab environment, you will have a strong focus on safety and drive a zero-incident mindset.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and champion a zero-incident culture
  • Adhering to the ISO 9001/TS 16949 quality standard, you will perform and document calibration, verification, maintenance activities in various databases and be diligent about lab procedures and continuous improvement.
  • Being self-driven and working well both independently and as a team member, you will make technical decisions or proposals focused on achieving project or customer goals


Your elements for success...

  • Maters and at least 7 years or a PhD and 3 years (Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related)
  • Proven experience with complex reactor systems and reactor modifications required
  • Strong expertise in reactor troubleshooting required
  • Proficiency in Python and/or VBA required
  • LabVIEW experience preferred
  • Ability to independently drive technical decisions and influence direction
  • Ability to indirectly lead or mentor others preferred
  • ISO9001 experience preferred
  • Experience with internal and external audits preferred.
