Full Job Description
The Senior Quality Systems Engineer will provide dedicated ownership and execution support for quality systems, QMS platform enablement, executive reporting, and supplier quality initiatives. This highly visible role will support the Corporate Supplier Industrialization team by developing and sustaining tools, workflows, dashboards, and processes that improve launch readiness and supplier execution. You will partner across Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Supplier Quality, Supplier Industrialization Engineering, and external suppliers to translate business and quality needs into scalable systems and actionable reporting. You will also provide hands-on support for the Auros QMS platform, lead lessons-learned and read-across activities, guide users during process rollouts, and identify barriers to quality execution. Success in this role will be reflected in reliable executive reporting, stronger adoption of quality systems, more effective knowledge transfer across programs, and improved visibility into supplier and launch performance. What You'll Own Executive Reporting: Develop and maintain executive-facing Tableau dashboards for budget, quality, launch readiness, and Supplier Industrialization initiatives, ensuring accurate data, clear presentation, and updates aligned with executive review cadences. QMS Platform Enablement: Provide end-to-end support for the Auros quality management system, establishing the platform knowledge needed to guide users, troubleshoot issues, and support effective adoption across Supplier Industrialization Engineering. Lessons Learned and Read-Across: Strengthen knowledge transfer between programs by streamlining lessons learned and using the QMS platform to apply relevant insights across applicable suppliers. Supplier Quality Tools: Partner with Supplier Quality and Supplier Industrialization teams to develop tools and workflows that support supplier selection, qualification, quality expectations, timing requirements, and launch deliverables. Process Improvement: Assess existing quality systems and operational processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements that reduce execution barriers and improve quality-system effectiveness. Launch Readiness: Develop and support operational methods, metrics, and control strategies that increase visibility into launch performance and enable timely resolution of quality-system or execution issues. Training and External Support: Provide training, coaching, and user support during system and process rollouts; guide Journeyman candidates through the Shainin certification program; and collaborate with third-party vendors on supplier-site support requisitions. What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Five or more years of experience in Supplier Industrialization Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Systems, or operational support. Comprehensive knowledge of automotive quality tools and standards, including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, and DFM/A. Demonstrated experience supporting Supplier Quality Operations and improving quality systems or processes. Ability to provide training, coaching, and user support during system or process implementations. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Smartsheet, JIRA, Coupa, and Tableau. Clear, timely communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business partners, suppliers, vendors, and executive stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications American Society for Quality certification, Six Sigma Black Belt certification, or an equivalent professional quality credential. Experience developing executive-level dashboards, metrics, and reporting in Tableau. Hands-on experience supporting a quality management system such as Auros. Experience partnering with third-party suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams during product or manufacturing launches.
