Job Description:

Join the Technical Consulting Team

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead Confirmation API implementations for audit and financial clients. While this position carries the title of Senior QA Engineer, Services, it operates as a hands-on technical consulting role. You'll work directly with clients through complex API implementations while navigating a product in active evolution, troubleshooting issues, managing expectations, and positioning solutions to diverse stakeholder groups. This is ideal for someone who thrives as a technical problem-solver and strategic communicator, bringing clarity and confidence to clients even in ambiguous situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Confirmation API Implementations: Drive end-to-end API implementations across multiple firm phases and bank API products from project kickoff through go-live support.
  • Consult, Troubleshoot, and Communicate: Work closely with client technical teams to understand requirements, identify roadblocks, and guide them through test environments and into production. Serve as the primary consultant contact, providing clear updates on progress and managing scope. You'll translate technical constraints into business-friendly language and surface issues proactively, staying composed and resourceful when obstacles arise.
  • Advocate for Clients Internally: Be the voice of your clients' needs with internal product and development teams. Identify documentation gaps, flag stability issues, and work to accelerate resolution. This requires both candor and resilience, maintaining relationships while pushing hard for client needs.
  • Support Diverse Client Types: Work effectively with global as well as large accounting firms, corporate audit teams, and financial institutions, adapting your approach to each client's technical maturity and priorities.
  • Deliver Training and Expand Your Scope: Conduct instructor-led training and consulting sessions. Over time, assist with APIs and automation solutions across multiple business segments like TAAP and Corporates, including emerging technologies like AI. Significant room to grow as a generalist technical consultant.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven technical consulting experience, preferably with API integrations or software implementations in client-facing situations where communication and execution were equally critical.
  • Strong problem-solving ability. You learn products deeply even with incomplete documentation or known issues. You investigate, find workarounds, and guide clients through challenges without getting derailed by frustration.
  • Excellent communication skills. You explain complex concepts clearly to mixed audiences and deliver difficult messages in ways that maintain client confidence and focus on solutions.
  • Solid understanding of tax and accounting processes, terminology, and workflows. You engage at the business level with accounting and audit professionals. Experience with Confirmation is a plus.
  • Technical depth in APIs, REST, authentication, system integration, and data mapping. Hands-on API implementation or light coding experience is valuable but not required if your consulting foundation is strong.
  • Project management capability. You handle multiple concurrent implementations, track progress against timelines, and escalate appropriately.
  • Flexibility with working hours for occasional international client meetings outside standard US business hours.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, strong collaborative spirit, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in technical consulting or software implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education in software development
