Description:
Impresiv Health is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to support a leading California health plan in implementing and expanding its UI automation capabilities. This consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions for enterprise healthcare applications, with a strong focus on claims administration and other payer systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in QA automation, strong healthcare payer knowledge, and a collaborative mindset. This role requires hands-on automation development, backend data validation, and close partnership with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.

What You Will Do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain UI automation test scripts for enterprise healthcare applications.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain reusable automation frameworks and regression test suites.
  • Convert manual test cases into scalable automated test assets.
  • Execute automated regression, functional, integration, smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate healthcare workflows including claims, membership, provider, and authorization processing.
  • Perform backend database validation using SQL.
  • Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
  • Partner with business analysts, product owners, developers, and QA teams to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Assist with QA automation standards, best practices, documentation, and continuous process improvements.
  • Support release management activities and production readiness efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on UI automation experience.
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver or comparable UI automation frameworks.
  • Strong programming experience with Java or C#.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience validating backend databases.
  • Experience developing reusable automation frameworks and regression test suites.
  • Experience supporting Agile/Scrum software development teams.
  • Experience using Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, Client ALM, or similar defect management tools.
  • Experience performing Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare payer or managed care experience.
  • Experience testing Claims Administration Systems.
  • Experience with Playwright and/or Cypress.
  • Experience with JavaScript.
  • Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  • Experience with healthcare platforms including Jiva, Facets, QNXT, HealthRules, Essette, TruCare, or MHK.
  • Experience testing APIs using Postman or SOAPUI.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Experience mentoring QA teams or helping establish QA automation standards.
  • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations or upgrades.
