What you'll do: St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - North Campus (FTC-N) seeks a doctoral level Psychologist to serve as a Certified Forensic Examiner (CFE) and conduct court-ordered outpatient forensic evaluations of adult criminal defendants, as well as inpatient forensic evaluations of adults committed to the Department of Mental Health as incompetent to stand trial. Mentoring for board certification in forensic psychology is also available. The psychologist must demonstrate considerable knowledge and skill in diagnostic interviewing; the administration, scoring, and interpretation of a range of forensically-relevant psychological tests and actuarial instruments; and the communication of detailed findings and opinions to the court in the form of written reports and testimony. The psychologist will conduct evaluations regarding a range of pretrial issues (e.g., competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility), sentencing/probation revocation issues, violence risk, and evaluations pursuant to the Sexually Violent Predator Act.
