About the Position:

The position is based in Utah, but may involve projects throughout Utah and neighboring Intermountain states. The role involves providing overall management direction for ongoing water projects and identifying new business opportunities related to specific clients, client groups, or geographical areas focused on water projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Oversee construction through administrative supervision of on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Plan, organize, and staff key field positions.
  • Address and resolve potentially serious issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Represent the company in project and labor strategy meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, equipment rentals, and income/expenses, to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and A/E contacts.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean driving record for insurance purposes.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of 2 years in Project Management. Experience in heavy civil projects is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in water mitigation, pump stations, or other water-related construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in the $10M-$50M range from start to finish.
  • Experience managing self-performed work in underground, structural, and mass excavation.
  • Required knowledge includes construction, design, finance, and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take responsibility and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
