We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to play a hybrid role as both Project Manager and Scrum Master, driving the successful execution of strategic initiatives across IT, product, operations, and clinical teams. This individual will manage cross-functional projects using Agile methodologies, lead sprint planning and execution, and ensure alignment with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and with maximum value to the business.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, technically fluent leader who excels in fast-paced environments and is passionate about execution, accountability, and Agile delivery excellence.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Life Sciences, or a related field
Preferred: Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) or Agile certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience:
Required: 5-7 years of project management experience, including significant work in healthcare, biotechnology, or genetics industries
Preferred: Proven track record managing high-priority, cross-functional projects; experience with Jira and Confluence; background in biotech, healthcare, or diagnostics is a strong plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Agile Project Delivery
Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile PODs, leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to maintain a prioritized and groomed backlog
Proactively track progress, remove team impediments, and escalate issues as needed
Project Management
Lead end-to-end project delivery-from initiation to closeout
Define project scope, develop plans and timelines, identify risks, and coordinate deliverables
Maintain up-to-date project trackers and dashboards in Smartsheet for full transparency
Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
Facilitate alignment and planning meetings with stakeholders
Provide regular project updates to leadership, highlighting milestones, blockers, and KPIs
Tools & Technology
Administer Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet for project tracking and documentation
Ensure thorough documentation of decisions, timelines, and progress, accessible to all stakeholders
Operational Excellence
Implement consistent sprint cadences and reporting mechanisms
Partner with Engineering, QA, and Business teams to streamline processes and increase delivery efficiency
Additional Responsibilities:
Mentor junior project managers and business analysts
Contribute to resource planning, sprint health reporting, and KPI tracking
Drive process improvements, SOP development, and optimization within the Agile POD model
